How does FOTSS support the Sea Scout program in Texas?

Provide boats

Funds for boat repairs such as: 

Engine repairs

Bottom jobs

Replacing sails

Funds for safety equipment

Program support for area-wide activities like Safety at Sea

Sea Scout Academy

Individual support in the form of scholarships for participation in regional and national events 

Grant Guidelines

FOTSS will make grants to qualifying Sea Scout units for a variety of items related to maintaining safe equipment for the program.  We generally reimburse up to 50% of covered expenses.  We expect the Sea Scout unit to bear at least half the expense.

FOTSS will provide scholarships to deserving Sea Scouts up to 50% of registration expenses associated with qualifying events.

Ask FOTSS if you need help with the expenses of national events such as sailing on the U.S. Coast Guard's Barque Eagle.
